The Story of M. (2012–2013)
In 2012, we provided the full cinematography crew for The Story of M. (История М.), the directorial debut of Russian actress and filmmaker Anna Arlanova. This 23-minute psychological short — written, directed, and independently produced by Arlanova — tells the story of a young woman slipping into the persona of Marilyn Monroe and losing her own identity.
Anton Lukash was the DoP and responsible for the film’s visual production: camera work, lighting, and on-set technical coordination. The film premiered at the “Saint Anna” student film festival in Moscow and was later screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival in 2013. This project also marked the beginning of our creative collaboration with actor Viktor Yurkov, who played one of the central roles and later co-developed the pilot Depth of Field (Глубина резкости) with us.
